Post World Cup

Well, the World Cup has come and gone. Whilst I would never have said I was one of the "nay sayers", I certainly was not looking forward to the World Cup. Not because I had no confidence in our wonderful country pulling it off... but rather because of SOCCER???? Soccer??? What is that... never watched it... never wanted to! I can now confirm, and I will say it loudly and proudly, and as often as possible, that I am not only a bonifide Bafana Bafana supporter, but a bonifide soccer supporter in general. I loved every minute of it... from the gees felt just driving through the streets of Joburg to the incredible atmosphere in the stadium. YIP... I actually got to go to a game. Ghana vrs USA - and what a match it was. I will be a geniune supporter of the Black Stars (after Bafana Bafana naturally) until the day i die! It was a life changing experience and one I am so proud to have been a teeny part of! This country showed the world what we are made of when we put our minds to it, and our soccer boys proved that despite being ranked 83rd in the world, we could put on a great game... a beautiful game!

Sigh... now the party is over and its back to work. Bring it on... As much as I loved the last month, it feels good to get back into the swing of things... and I really don't think my liver could have taken too much more!
