Angela's Showreel

Angela Whitehouse started her career as an editor 13 years ago after graduating from Wits drama school. As an aspiring actress who was terrified at the very sight of a microphone, she realised that she was NEVER going to be able to make a successful living doing voice overs, so she promptly started looking elsewhere. After trying various things, but mainly making money as a clown for children's parties (and not much has changed in that regard, other than her clothing style!), she decided on editing. Her love for all things film was born. Over the years and over many, many glasses of wine, she has established a fantastic group of loyal and very supportive clients.

She started her career by creating an excellent rapport with agencies, and then later went on to show production houses exactly what she was made of. Her strengths lie in the fact that she can cut absolutely anything, from performance to music videos, and has a huge amount of fun while doing it. She is best known for her laugh which tends to drown out anything else going on in a room, and her ability to edit way into the night - along with her trusted assistant, a bottle of red. She prides herself in giving everything of herself to her jobs, and making lasting friendships while about it.

"I think there are a few things that set me apart from other editors. I want to, and will, cut anything. It's the love of the actual art of editing, and relationships one forms with the people involved, that attracts me to any job. Egotism is not an option in my edit suite; you need to leave that at the door. This industry is all about teamwork, and as long as we all have the same passion for the individual roles that we play, we will end up with a great result. As my client, a love for red wine is optional, but the need to laugh and thoroughly enjoy the experience is essential. "
